About the Role:
Pivotal role in ensuring the mechanical systems of the facility are designed, installed, tested, and commissioned to the highest standards. This is an exciting opportunity to work on-site on a technically challenging and innovative project while benefiting from a comprehensive relocation package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the installation of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, cooling systems, and fire protection systems.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure designs meet project specifications and timelines.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, ensuring compliance with design, safety, and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical system issues during installation and commissioning phases.
- Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and submittals related to mechanical works.
- Liaise with contractors and vendors to ensure equipment and materials are delivered and installed correctly.
- Provide technical support and guidance to on-site teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure adherence to German and EU regulations, standards, and codes of practice.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in data centre or large-scale industrial projects.
- Proven expertise in HVAC systems, cooling systems, and other mechanical services for mission-critical environments.
- Familiarity with German building regulations and industry standards (VOB, DIN, etc.) is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English; knowledge of German is an advantage but not required.
- Proficiency in design and project management tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project).
