Our projects span high-tech sectors including data centres, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and advanced industrial facilities. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a BIM Engineer to join our Galway-based team to support the design and coordination of complex projects from concept through to construction.
Role Overview
As a BIM Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and coordination of Building Information Models (BIM) to support the design and delivery of technically challenging data centre and pharmaceutical projects. You will work closely with the design, engineering, and construction teams to ensure that digital models accurately reflect the design intent and are aligned with project goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and coordinate BIM models in Revit and Navisworks across multiple disciplines.
- Support the production of 3D models, 2D drawings, and digital deliverables for all project stages.
- Ensure adherence to BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and project-specific standards.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to integrate models and resolve coordination issues.
- Run clash detection and coordinate design resolutions using Navisworks Manage.
- Maintain model integrity, structure, and performance across design phases.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of digital workflows, tools, and templates.
- Participate in site visits and design coordination meetings as needed.
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- 2+ years' experience in a BIM or Revit modelling role within engineering, construction, or architecture.
- Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD; experience with BIM 360, Dynamo, or similar tools is a plus.
- Understanding of construction and MEP systems, particularly in mission critical environments.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Experience on data centre or pharmaceutical projects is highly desirable.
