Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Commissioning Manager (CxM) to support hyperscale data centre projects for a Hyper-Scale Datacenter. This is a direct client-facing role working closely with General Contractors, and end clients on mission-critical data centre builds.
The successful candidate must have proven data centre commissioning experience for this particular end client, with the credibility and confidence to interface directly with Programme Directors and senior stakeholders. Due to the nature of the client and existing relationships, candidate quality and suitability are critical.
Key Responsibilities
Act as Client-Facing Site Commissioning Manager on hyperscale data centre projects
Manage end-to-end MEP commissioning activities across electrical and mechanical systems
Oversee commissioning from L1 through L5, with demonstrable experience completing L4-L5 (IST)
Lead and coordinate commissioning activities across GCs, subcontractors, and vendors
Direct commissioning trades while maintaining control of programme, cost, and resources.
Support the development, review, and execution of SMS, test scripts, and commissioning documentation
Manage commissioning teams of up to 6 personnel
Maintain a strong understanding of hyperscale mechanical processes, including process piping and increasingly stringent MEP specifications
Provide clear reporting and updates to senior leadershipRequired Experience & Skills (Non-Negotiable)
Minimum 10 years' experience in the construction industry
At least 5 years' experience as a Commissioning or Project Manager delivering MEP systems
End-to-end commissioning management experience in hyperscale or mission-critical environment.
Successfully delivered significant stages of L4-L5 commissioning
Full MEP mindset - electrical and mechanical (not discipline-siloed)
Strong capability in scheduling, cost control, and resource management
Comfortable directing works while remaining commercially and contractually awareWorking Pattern & Conditions
Working Hours: Typically 45 hours per week, with ramp-up periods up to 50 hours
Overtime: Flat rate; potential uplift only for sustained excessive hours above 50
Rotations: Flexible depending on candidate location and project needs
