Senior Project Planner – Data Centre Consultancy

A leading data centre consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Project Planner to join their growing team in Frankfurt. This is a client-facing role offering the opportunity to work on some of Europe’s most high-profile data centre developments.

The Opportunity

You will act as the planner on behalf of the client, taking ownership of programme delivery and holding the General Contractor accountable on site. This is a key position requiring both technical planning expertise and strong stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and maintain detailed project programmes from pre-construction through to commissioning
• Review and challenge General Contractor schedules, ensuring alignment with client objectives
• Provide independent programme assurance and progress reporting
• Identify risks, delays, and mitigation strategies across complex data centre builds
• Lead planning meetings and interface directly with clients, contractors, and consultants
• Support project controls, including earned value analysis and reporting

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Planner / Senior Planner on data centre projects (essential)
• Strong background working for consultancies, clients, or main contractors on mission-critical builds
• Expertise in planning tools such as Primavera P6 (preferred) or similar
• Experience managing or overseeing General Contractors on-site
• Excellent communication skills with a confident, client-facing approach
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-value project environment
