About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of large-scale technical construction projects across Ireland. The role involves managing project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure delivery within scope, on time, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This position requires a strong leader with the ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, liaise with clients and stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement across all phases of project delivery.

Key Responsibilities


  • Report directly to the Project Director.

  • Brief, instruct, and oversee the Project Team, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and executed.

  • Develop and maintain the Project Execution Plan.

  • Monitor performance and communication across the project team and external stakeholders.

  • Establish and maintain risk and opportunity management frameworks, including early warning systems for potential risks or changes.

  • Ensure all project scope and associated risks are effectively managed through subcontractor appointments.

  • Support subcontractor selection and contract negotiations.

  • Review legal contracts and ensure alignment with project goals.

  • Lead the tender process, including bid evaluation and technical alignment.

  • Oversee value engineering and innovative solution development.

  • Manage daily activities of contractors and vendors to ensure progress aligns with project objectives.

  • Implement and oversee quality assurance and project control processes.

  • Lead project planning and strategy sessions with stakeholders and project teams.

  • Drive the execution of inspection and test regimes, ensuring compliance with project specifications.

  • Mentor and support professional development of project team members.

  • Manage sectional and practical completion handover processes.

  • Ensure timely resolution of project issues, conflicts, and non-conformances.

  • Maintain thorough project documentation including budgets, schedules, reports, and change orders.

  • Promote knowledge sharing, best practices, and lessons learned across projects.

  • Define and implement defect management strategies, including during the Defects Liability Period.

  • Coordinate client inspections and ensure smooth sign-off processes.

  • Act as the key point of contact for clients, managing expectations and building strong working relationships.

  • Enforce adherence to internal project management standards across all project participants.

Skills and Experience


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Minimum of 6 years' project management experience in the delivery of large-scale construction projects across Ireland, the UK, or Europe.

  • Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, from design through to execution.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex procurement processes and drive cost-effective outcomes.

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence diverse teams.

  • In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in construction project delivery.
